As we are a reference center in the practice and teaching of GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® in our country, at Harmonious Life in Barcelona you can study to be an instructor of this body discipline and get certified with the approval of GYROTONIC® Headquarters in the United States.
Our center offers complete training to teach GYROTONIC® under instructors from around the world who, we select with great care and professionalism. To take part in this training, you must have taken private classes and be familiar with the Progression 1 of GYROTONIC®.

Our lead Pre-Trainer, Salena, has been a certified GYROTONIC® trainer for over 12 years. She has trained professionals from across Europe, Latin America, and beyond, many of whom now run their own successful studios.

The GYROTONIC® Level 1 Teacher Training Program
The GYROTONIC® Level 1 Teacher Training Program is the official pathway to becoming a certified GYROTONIC® Trainer. The program consists of four sequential courses and 60 independent teaching hours — approximately 195 hours in total.
Most students complete the full program in 6 to 12 months.

Prerequisites for the Pre-Training Course
– A minimum of 10 GYROTONIC® sessions with a certified GYROTONIC® Trainer
– A basic understanding of the GYROTONIC® Level 1, Progression and exercises
– No prior teaching experience is required
If you do not have access to regular GYROTONIC® sessions in your area, contact us — we can discuss options for intensive preparatory sessions at our Barcelona studio before the course begins.
Frequently Asked Questions
Not necessarily. While many of our students come from physiotherapy, Pilates, sports or dance backgrounds, it is not a formal requirement for the international certification. However, in some European countries, local regulations may require movement teachers to hold an additional government-recognised qualification. We recommend checking the regulations in your country before enrolling.
Yes. Our courses are fully triilingual (English, Spanish, Portuguese). International students are welcome and well supported throughout the program.
The complete Level 1 program takes between 6 months and 15 months from the Pre-Training Course to the Final Certificate Course. The apprenticeship period alone requires a minimum of 6 months. Usually 1 year.
Certified GYROTONIC® Trainers are required to renew their licence every two years through continuing education. After certification, you are also eligible to enrol in specialised GYROTONIC® courses — equipment courses, Level 2 programs, and sports-specific applications — to continue developing your expertise.
Yes. Once certified, trainers can host GYROTONIC® teacher training courses at their own facility. Contact us to discuss this possibility.
We keep groups small — Maximun is 3 per tour. We have 4 tours. But typically is between 3 and 6 students — to ensure every participant receives thorough individual attention.
